There will be a new set of assessments for 2014. See the Assessments page for details. There is a 50:50 split between individual and group work. Assessments will be spread out over the semester. This will allow marking feedback to be incorporated into the preparation of future assessments.

Global Challenges 2014 kicks off on Tuesday 28th January. I’m really looking forward to meeting the new cohort of students. This week I’ve been editing the new guest video lectures and updating some other course content as well as the assessments. Don’t worry these are not drastic changes and there is still no exam!

The University of Southampton is making some large changes to the undergraduate degree programs with the Flexible Learning project. Students will be able to pick modules from outside their program of study to build up a major/minor degree. The assessments for Global Challenges has now been update to the following: Group Project Website – 40% Groups will be comprised of  5 students, with  a mix in academic background. Each group will work together over the course of the module in order to produce a Project Website that will effectively communicate the Global Challenges. […]
